Description
This is an Illinois ROCKLIFFE model wristwatch issued by the Hamilton Watch Company in 1935. The dial was designed by Hamilton in the 1934 time frame. The case was modified by Hamilton to accommodate left over Illinois 18/0 size movements. Both the actual dial and its design drawing from Hamilton are shown on page 935 of my book set!
It has an excellent unpolished solid yellow gold case and a very good original and nicely aged rare dial.
Its 18/0 size, 17j movement is running fine and is guaranteed for six months plus ten days.
